Prank Wars: Coming to a TV Near You

Good news for Ricky Van Veen and our friends over at CollegeHumor: Not only did their show get picked up for a second season on MTV, but Prank Wars, the web series starring Amir Blumenfeld and Streeter Seidell, is being re-released on the station as a series called Pranked. Because Punk’d was already taken, we guess? Either way, this is shooting fish in a barrel for Amir and Streeter, as their episodes went viral about two years ago and they aren’t being comissioned to make new ones. Instead, the series that helped launch CollegeHumor to the top of original web videos chart (and winning a few Webbies in the meantime) will just be replayed for MTV’s larger audience, with special commentary from Blumenfeld and Seidell. Easy gig, guys…hey MTV, we’re open to ideas! Call us!

In our opinion, the very best Prank War is the one with Amir setting up Streeter to propose to his girlfriend during a Yankees game, unbeknownst to his friend. Who cares if it was staged or she was in on the joke: This is pure prankin’ and its best.
